If you work a lot on the go I would get a Macbook Pro with an external monitor (Apple Cinema 24" if you are fancy, otherwise a Dell Ultrasharp will be as good). Otherwise the 27" with 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7.

I'm guessing you already have a laptop so I would definitely buy the 27" iMac. For the money it's really a great value, plus when the faster macbooks come out in the future you can buy one and turn your iMac into a nice monitor.
Thanks guys. I'm leaning towards the iMac as well. The only issue I still have to deal with is that MacPros are better for video capture since they have multiple Firewire buses. The iMac would have the all drives in the same bus as the video capture, which can lead to dropped frames in some cases.
